Each year the April Amble contributes £3000 to Revelation, thanks to the enthusiastic amblers and supporters. Sadly this year, due to Covid restrictions, the Amble was cancelled.

Instead, the Trustees have decided to help swell Revelation funds by offering any musical talents they might muster between them. The result is MusicOn!

On Saturday 17 October, from 10 am to 4 pm, Philip Talbot, Lyn Marsh and Margaret Smith, with the help of some musically talented friends, will be playing, singing, plucking, blowing, strumming and dueting in the grounds of Revelation. There will be music and songs, reflecting most musical tastes, and we trust folk will, with appropriate social distancing, spend a few minutes enjoying the results.

This is a one-off event never tackled by the “performers” before! So – we need sponsorship. If we can raise £1500 in sponsorship money Barclays Bank will very kindly match this sum, so another £1500 will be added – and £3000 will be a great help to Revelation in these difficult days.

Please support! Please drop by and listen! Please tell your friends to come along too! The shop and cafe will be open so you can also take the opportunity to stock up on Christmas cards and gifts, and relax in the cafe.

Thank you in advance for your support and all your encouragements.

Philip, Margaret and Lyn

Food, glorious food, will once again be on offer at Revelation Resource Centre, because the Cafe is scheduled to re-open for business on Tuesday August 4, in time for the Government’s “Eat Out to Help Out” deal.

The offer is 50% of a meal up to the value of £10 for the month of August. What better incentive to come into Revelation to shop and eat!

The Cafe will be open from Tuesday to Saturday each week, starting on 4th August, from 10 am to 3 pm daily. Tim and Mel hope to welcome back regular customers and to greet new faces as the weeks go by.

Revelation’s reputation is “an oasis of calm in a bustling city”. The city may be quieter post-Covid-19 at present but that should serve as an encouragement to come to the shop and cafe.

And there’s another bonus ...disabled parking. Norwich City Council has marked the parking bays outside Revelation as “Disabled Parking”, which should make shopping for some of Revelation’s supporters much easier.

“Use it or lose it” is an over-used slogan. But in these post-coronavirus easing of lockdown measures, it is once again a phrase which needs repeating.

Give Revelation a try – and enjoy the new normality!

Ex-Norwich vicar returns for book signing

Rev Nicholas Vesey will be in Norwich for a book signing on January 8 at Revelation Resource Centre.

Rev Nicholas Vesey who is now interfaith pastor in Aspen, Colorado led St Luke’s and St Augustine’s church in Norwich for 13 years. He left for Colorado in 2014 and returns to Norwich in the new year for one night only for the launch of his latest book ' Living the Life Force'.

About the book

Why does the natural world seem so ordered, and yet our lives seem so chaotic?

From the Big Bang to the present time the universe has moved inexorably forward, and yet humanity seems to be struggling in its wake. In this book Nicholas Vesey explores the nature of the 'Life-Force' that is at the heart of all reality.

Written in an irreverent 'Gonzo' style, Nicholas draws from a wide range of sources to explore our relationship with that 'Life-Force' and how we might cooperate with it. He sets no agenda but offers several ways to find your own spiritual path to that place of peace where your inner experience meets with the natural order of life.
